Poopy goes in poopy chair!
We have some decent visible progress on the house finally. The bathroom was installed today. It’s still a bit rough but the bath, toilet & sink are all in place.
Not long now until we can move in. Don’t mind if we’re in & doing decorating.
Will take some photos & post them tomorrow.
Here’s the latest photos of the house progress.
The plumbing is moving along nicely but the plumber put the main bedroom radiator in the wrong place despite it being marked on the wall. So he’ll have to move it now.
Had a big cleanup on the weekend to straighten out the previous week’s wreckage from the plumbing work.
The trip to see my sister in Cambridge went well. They are all in good form & Evie is a great laugh.
Bought a pair of Skullcandy Hesh headphones & a bunch of DVD box sets
At least that gives us something to watch for a while (no TV in bedroom)
As for the house, the plumbing is well under way. Hot press tank is in & a lot of the upstairs pipe work is done.
Heading over to the UK for the weekend to see my sister in Cambridge.
Hopefully when we get back the plumbing will be done (and nothing broken) in the house.
After several virtual machine installs & an experimental build when we were renting, I’ve finally built the home server for the house.
In practise all I did was install the Windows Home Server OS on my old desktop PC. It’s a bit of overkill for a server but it’ll do. I have to move all the internals into a smaller/old case as my current “Samurai” case is massive.
The OS install went very well with only a few bits of hardware undetected (sound/LAN/chipset stuff) but I got those off Gigabyte’s site.
I disconnected my secondary 500GB HD as there’s films on it & I didn’t want WHS to merge the drive in yet.
Unfortunately beyond this initial install, there’s little I can do as we have no network.
Well the snow has slowed things down a bit with regards the house but just before that kicked off we get the new front door installed.
Here’s some photos of it with house exterior shots in the snow and from the inside. Also a shot of the hole I made in the bathroom floor.
