Not sure how many people are aware of this. It's not riveting stuff but it is amazing how you can link through people.
Go to http://www.livejournal.com/tools/sixdegrees.bml, enter your LJ nick & anyone else's & it will show you the path between them. The best way to test it is to use LJ's own random user search.
The tool works most of the time. Mad!!!

Weekend
We had a different but busy weekend. No shopping in town per se or Dominion.
Saturday was Féile Draíochta, a pagan festival in Chief O'Neills, Smithfield. There was talks, workshops, stalls, readings, etc. & even though I'm not pagan or of any earth based practice, I had an enjoyable day. I always find it interesting to explore the beliefs & practises of others, hopefully without overstepping my mark. I was joined by Tasha, Finn & Tara & we bumped into Eoin &, of course, a few others from Tasha's moot. We didn't stick around for the revelary in the evening but according to Finn it was good fun.
On Sunday, we went to ickle_tayto's brother's open day. It was very hot, had to stick to the shade when possible. It was a great day & it kind of reminded me of when we had community week on our estate. It's good to see the families out mixing & playing games together.
Back to work now. Hope to get a reply for my other interviews this week. Fingers crossed.

Dominion Photos
I uploaded some more photos from late 2004/early 2005. They're mostly of close friends as opposed to the club in general.

Job Interviews
Just thought I'd bring people up to speed on some interviews I've had recently. I had one with Creative on Tuesday. It went very well, friendly interviewers, good discussion then they took me in to see the dept manager. Expecting a yes/no call soon. They didn't make an issue of my lack of server database knowledge.
Yesterday I was in with an agency in town. Again, very friendly & had 3 internal positions & 1 external to offer. 2 of the internals were junior roles & she said I'd be more suited to a senior role (flattery, very nice). The external position is also senior with the Food Safety Board. She'll be in touch soon aswell if they're interested.
Good feelings for both but I'm very hopeful for Creative & at least the interviews went well.
Update:
Just got a call from Creative. They found someone else for the position. Shame about that. Will keep studying SQL Server though to expand my options.

New CDs
No major news but I bought some nice CDs over the past few weeks
In Strict Confidence - Holy
Icon Of Coil - Serenity Is The Devil
The Cure - Pornography Deluxe Edition
Collide - Vortex
VNV Nation - Matter And Form
And I also got a few DVDs
Father Ted Complete Box Set
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
Fields Of The Nephilim - Revelations/Forever
SpongeBob & Fields of the Nephilim, what a combination!
There's a Rocky Horror screening in town tonight in association with

Rocky in Rathmines.
Going camping this weekend in Wexford. Have to buy an air mattress.

Birthday Weekend
It was a triple birthday weekend. ickle_tayto, Maggie & another of Maggie's friends. Birthday's always arrive at the same time. Tis' mad that.
A bunch of us met up for dinner first. We went to a tasty Mexican restaurant on Georges St. called Acapulco. Margaritas all round! Well some did anyway. Lovely food, left me feeling very full.
After that we headed on to Eamon Doran's for a few drinks. Got stopped at the door cause I had a sports bag, checking for drink. Good thing they didn't check my shoulder bag as my wee bottle of Absinthe was in that. Cheeky me!
After a few drinks in there we meandered down to Dominion for the usual. Great set from nephster13, mister_endon & John Younge, had me sweatin' like a p.i.g.
Excellent night. All the girls looked stunning & I took a few good pix though less than usual.
On Sunday ickle_tayto popped around in the car & we went for a drive up the mountains. Lovely views of Dublin but forgot my camera.

Work & Weekend
I'm away from Finglas again this week to fill on for someone who's on leave from our Leopardstown office. So lady_bastet & I are staying over in Sandyford for the week (maybe next aswell). It's nice to give lady_bastet a chance to spend some time with her parents even though she says they drive her mad.
Apart from that the Bank Holiday weekend went well. ickle_tayto did a great job DJing in Dominion on Saturday. paddywisha dragged me up to dance to some of the first songs. They were good songs but I don't normally dance unless there's more people up. Cowardly me, still it was good to show ickle_tayto some support.
On Sunday ickle_tayto had oodles of people over to her apartment for drinks & food. Her friend Hannah made some lovely finger food & we all chatted into the wee hours.
Then on Monday lady_bastet, ickle_tayto & I went to see League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse. It was OK, full of the wacky & disturbed comedy of the
series but it could've done with a little more kick. Don't know what sort of kick but there ya go!
As usual, lots of photos on the way from Dominion & ickle_tayto's party.
