Hospital

Unfortunately, lady_bastet's tummy got worse & worse yesterday evening. Eventually, she decided she needed to go to the hospital to see if there was anything that could be done.

We got to Blanchardstown Hospital at about 9.30 & then the wait began. After about an hour triage assessed her, blood pressure & general check. After another 2 hours or so a nurse took some blood for tests & did a secondary check. Finally, after another hour or so, the doctor called her in. Finalised check but could only give her more of the same painkillers & an injection to reduce the nausea & vomiting.

So as usual, 4 hours in hospital for little results. lady_bastet's taken today off & is resting at home. Next door neighbours dog kept her awake last night to add insult to injury.

I hope something can be done for her soon as it's really wearing her out now.

  2. Argh, that sucks...pass on my sympathies...and make sure she gets some rest - and no listening to that depressing "gothic" music, or whatever you kids call it these days... ;P

  3. not good...not good at all ..coincidentally I had a flare-up last night too after 5 days of no pain.. was pretty bad.. she needs to see a specialist for some proper tests as something is deffinately wrong.. I assume I am not teaching you guys to suck eggs when I ask if she has tried avoiding different food groups in an attempt to see what sets its off? with me its wheat.. particularly pizza dough..

  4. We're trying to speed things along to see the specialist but she is off alcohol, spicy foods, etc. She's been very cautious wit her diet but a specialist might indicate specifics.
