Put our new black satin sheets on the bed last night. It's like sleeping on ice but they are nice :P

lady_bastet got me tonnes of stuff again for Xmas. Among other things I got Half-Life 2 for the Xbox which is excellent & a stunning port from the PC. Also got a Versinthe box set, loads of classic books (Invisible Man, Jekyll & Hyde, Sherlock Holmes, etc.), cute Lenore figures & a Cure & Tim Burton book. She got me lots of other things but to list them out would look bonkers.
My mum & dad got me a Furby. I could introduce my one to gothicfurby's.

Zombina
I completely forgot Zombina & The Skeletones were playing last night despite having chatted about it at ickle_tayto's. nephster13 reminded me in the morning.
Dashed home after work to get ready then back into town. Picked up a little something for lady_bastet :P Met up with nephster13 & Marita before heading onto Eamon Doran's.
Made are way down to Eamon Doran's where we bumped into lil' Rachel, Laura & Dec & waited for ages for BSOBK to start up. I thought they were very good, wasn't sure what to expect as they've warmed up for many bands around Dublin. Zombina was unfortunately sick so I was a bit disappointed. The band still put on a good show but seemed embarrassed about Zombina's absence (apologised 4 times).
Took a small few photos which will eventually get sorted.

Busy Times
Had a work Xmas party on Friday which was good fun. Free drink & finger food courtesy of the job. lady_bastet joined me & ickle_tayto & blackberry_roan came along later, invited by Maggie. The place was packed but all went well. The gang are a good laugh in here & I'm sure they also enjoyed the night.
On Saturday, lady_bastet & I went to the IFSC Xmas market again, this time without a 5 year old in tow. Later on we headed over to ickle_tayto's for her little get together. ickle_tayto had some lovely food, assisted by her friend Hannah & pearcider provided the pear cider (of course)!
Have some photos from ickle_tayto's. Though a few are of Miss O flaunting her assets :P

Narnia & Depeche Mode
Went to see Narnia last night with lady_bastet. Another children's book I never read so I was looking on it from a movie goer's perspective. I enjoyed it though it did feel a little drawn out at some points & the kids were a little bit odd (though that what kids were like in the 40s I suppose).
Also booked our tickets for Depeche Mode in June 06. I hurriedly booked tickets in the block behind standing because my search for standing tickets failed. Unfortuntely, after that the standing search succeeded. Still it's ok, the gig's what matters.
Anyone for IFI tonight?

DVDs
What with having poor TV reception in 's room, we've been watching quite a few of our DVDs over the past few weeks. We've already gotten through Season 2 of Quantum Leap, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory & a good few more.
Last night, I watched The Crow. In the past I've always watched it with quite a low brightness setting on the TV to keep the mood but this time I wanted to catch some more visual details. Whether, it was this or because I haven't watched it in a while, it felt like quite a different movie.
I was also reminded what a fantastic soundtrack and score it had. From The Cure to Nine Inch Nails to ...Thrill Kill Kult, all in all forming a perfect moody backdrop.
As was pointed out on iegoth, Jane Siberry will be playing in Dublin next March. Jane provided the soundtrack interpretation of Hangman's Joke's (Eric Draven's band) song "It Can't Rain All The Time". A haunting end to the movie & a sad reminder of Brandon Lee's passing.
Favourite Quotes:
T-Bird: "Abashed the Devil stood and felt how awful goodness is."
Eric: "Mother is the name for God on the lips and hearts of all children."

Suffering now after ice skating with lady_bastet & her little cousin. I ache, a lot. Still they had fun. Went to a market in the IFSC & then to see Santa in St. Stephen's Green.
Uploaded KMFDM photos to http://www.photobox.ie/album/2239755. Tried to put a bit more effort into these than the last few but they're still rather dark.

Had a very odd dream this morning. lady_bastet & I were over in the UK & went to visit someone who worked in a hairdressers (don't actually know anyone who works in a hairdressers).
Anyway, some girl started giving me grief saying "We don't allow your sort in here. Ya know, long coats & all in black. You're all just trenchcoat mafia losers" (or something like that.)
So I tried to explain I was 27, had a good job & showed her my phone & camera to illustrate my "expensive tastes". She gave me more lip, getting very aggressive, so I gave her a slap. Off she walked into the place.
Few minutes later a bloke came out saying I couldn't leave & the police were on the way. He said the girl had been hit severely. I tried to explain but he just said not to bother explaining & "I would be kicked out of the country for it".
The police arrived & they said to do as I was told or I'd make things worse. This is where things got even weirder, they started to give me a truth serum to find out what I did or didn't do.
Then I woke up, thank goodness. I used to have typical nightmares when I was younger, then I started to enjoy them (!), then I just started forgetting my dreams.

Weekend
We took it easy on Saturday, mainly did some catching up on the net as we have none in Sandyford yet. lady_bastet was checking out accommodation for next year's Whitby & I sorted out some of the photos.
lady_bastet had a work party & wore her gorgeous new pin stripe skirt, bolero & black corset. Very tasty! ickle_tayto invited me over for dinner so lady_bastet & I headed into town at the same time.
ickle_tayto made some lovely fajitas, we chatted & watched some TV. Headed in for Dominion at about 9.30. Was good to pop back in after being away in Whitby. The guest DJs played some interesting German music which went down well.
gothicfurby looked beautiful in her new corset, shame it got too uncomfortable.
Forgot to list out the CDs I bought in Whitby in the last post:
Aiboforcen - Kafarnaum
Angels And Agony - Avatar
Apoptygma Berzerk - You And Me Against The World
Blutangel - Angel Dust
Devilish Presley - Disgraceland
Diva Destruction - Passion's Price
Katscan - Feral Bios
London After Midnight - Psycho Magnet
Rammstein - Rosenrot
Rosetta Stone - Adrenaline Deluxe
Scary Bitches - Lesbian Vampires From Outer Space
Switchblade Symphony - Sweet, Little Witches
The Cruxshadows - The Mystery Of The Whisper
Voices Of Masada - Four Corners
Wumpscut - Evoke

Good Web Design
I've rediscovered a good site which I found years ago. It's by a usability guru called Jakob Nielsen & he has some excellent tips on good web design. I plan on backtracking through my site & LiveJournal (a bit) to ensure I've not been a naughty web developer.

Whitby
I was going to do a fully detailed, day by day, backdated set of entries covering our travels across the UK to Whitby, Whitby itself & our travels back across the UK but lady_bastet has covered most things. Instead I'll just throw in my favorite bits.
Chester Zoo on the way to Whitby was great. Lotsa nice photos of course. Shopping was good too, got some DVDs & games.
Whitby was great fun of course. Hung out with our gang & karlthulhu, littlepinkfaery, gothichaven & r0chet more this year. Only got a few photos of bands but did check them all out & enjoyed.

Nemi
For those of you that are enjoying the Nemi cartoon in the Metro paper, go here to get access to all the old/new ones, http://www.metro.co.uk/img/pix/.
AFAIK, there's no archive on the site but this directory listing is about the same. Do a quick find for "Nemi" to get started.

Computer Bits
Managed to finally get around to enabling the front panel USB ports & audio on my PC. Put it off for a good while because they're fiddly seperate connectors instead of a block. Tested both USB ports & earphones, will test microphone some other time.
Also removed modem as it's redundant now because of the wireless.
Next exercise is to try to move the router upstairs again. Hopefully this time things won't crap out on me. After that, I'll setup MAC filtering on the router, again something I've been meaning to retry.

Just back from edit:Long Stone with gang. Great to see gothicfurby out, hope it didn't take too much out of her.
gothicfurby is DJing this Saturday which I'll probably miss. She'll kick ass!
New Zen Micro is working out great but it is tricky being selective with music but I have a plan, a cunning plan.

More CDs & Stuff...
Headed over to see gothicfurby today but when I phoned I got alan_ie who said she was still asleep so I decided to let her rest & wander about town. Popped into Tower in Eason's & bought more CDs:
Bauhaus - Burning From The Inside
Bauhaus - The Sky's Gone Out
The Cure - Disintegration
Joy Division = Closer
Siouxsie & The Banshees - Peepshow
The Smiths - Singles
All for only €50 as it was 3 CDs for €25.
On the other end of the shopping scale, I went into Peat's & bought a black Creative Zen Micro. I know the Micro Photo is on the way but that facility doesn't interest me & more accessories are being developed just for the Zen Micro.
Finally, bought a nice 5 pointed star jewelery box from Visuals for lady_bastet cause I loves her so

Lots Of Updates
Bunch of stuff to mention as I've been away from my PC (shock horror)
Friday, got a bunch of CD/DVDs courtesy of some leaving vouchers from the ESB. Some were ones I've been meaning to get for a while, others were new:
The Cure - Faith Deluxe Edition
Funker Vogt - Maschine Zeit
Girls Under Glass - Zyklus
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
Siouxsie & The Banshees - JuJu
Siouxsie & The Banshees - The Scream Deluxe Edition
The Mission - Lighting The Candles DVD
Late thanks to nephster13 for the Theatre Of Tragedy CD too.
DJd on Saturday night. Copied down playlist this time (me getting smarter everyday)
Rammstein - Mein Herz Brennt
Inkubus Sukkubus - Paint It Black
The Creatures - Exterminating Angel
Dream Disciples - Room 57
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Weeping Song
Siouxsie & The Banshees - Israel
Killing Miranda - Embrace
Flowing Tears - Serpentine
The Marionettes - Ave Dementia
The Cult - Sweet Soul Sister
Bauhaus - Terror Couple Kill Colonel
New Order - Here To Stay
Apoptygma Berzerk - Suffer In Silence
Combichrist - Today I Woke To The Rain Of Blood
Covenant - We Stand Alone
All went pretty well but people sat down for a bit hence I tried to up the tempo at the end. Had 2 CDs jumbled at the start but still played decent track. Was a bit more nervous than first time, think the drink helped relax me.
Biggest news of all, got my job with AMT-Sybex. As with last interview, they're a very friendly bunch & have allowed me to start after Whitby. AFAIK, I will be working with Maggie which should be fun. Good to have a familiar face. They have a few months of training & I will do my utmost soak it all up.

Today I...
I went down to lodge my redundancy cheque & 2 cheques for my mum. No bother there, just a bit of a queue. Checked on pass machine of all was ok & it was.
Then in, order to keep things moving, I headed down to the social services office to setup claiming Unemployment Benefit. Lesson one learned, blend in with the natives. I was only just in the door & two travelers (must be polite) started giving me verbals. Wasn't bothered as I was going to the other end of the room. But they followed me & proceeded to give me the Spanish Inquisition about this & that. Just gave them flippant answers & was called up in about 5 minutes. I have a few bits of paperwork to gather up & get my P45 from ESB & then that'll be out of the way.
Now on to prep for Wednesday's interview...

Yawn
So this is it, first day out of work. Don't worry not going to make a habit of it (I hope). Still it's nice to be able to chill out for a bit.

Quiet Weekend
Didn't do much this weekend as lady_bastet is still not back to full strength. We headed into town on Saturday for a short wander around. Bought some CDs:
Combichrist - Everybody Hates You
Velvet Acid Christ - Fun With Knives
Gothic Rock Volume 1
Projekt: Gothic
The Gothic Rock & Projekt: Gothic collections were only €7 so I figured, what the hell!
Bought lady_bastet a lovely broach but I'll leave her to fill you in on that.
Did nowt on Sunday but watch TV & listen to my new CDs on the notebook.

New Ext HD
The new external hard drive is working out great. It's preformatted with FAT32 which suits me fine as it ensures better cross platform support.
Threw everything from My Documents except My Music, Pictures, Podcasts & Videos onto it, as well as some straggler files from the root of my C: drive from the last format.
The re-organisation also spurred me to re-sort my downloaded applications. I use CNET Downloads to categorise them & create folders to match. Keeps things in order.
This is my last day in the ESB too. Onward to new things!

Podcasts
They've been around for a good bit now but I thought I'd give people a quick start on some of the Goth/Industrial/EBM podcasts out there.
There are loads of ways to set them up, iTunes being very popular. I used this guide to tie in effortlessly with Windows Media Player.
Click here to see my OPML list of podcasts or right click & save to allow importing.
They're a great source for new artists & songs, or something to pass the time.

Hospital
Unfortunately, lady_bastet's tummy got worse & worse yesterday evening. Eventually, she decided she needed to go to the hospital to see if there was anything that could be done.
We got to Blanchardstown Hospital at about 9.30 & then the wait began. After about an hour triage assessed her, blood pressure & general check. After another 2 hours or so a nurse took some blood for tests & did a secondary check. Finally, after another hour or so, the doctor called her in. Finalised check but could only give her more of the same painkillers & an injection to reduce the nausea & vomiting.
So as usual, 4 hours in hospital for little results. lady_bastet's taken today off & is resting at home. Next door neighbours dog kept her awake last night to add insult to injury.
I hope something can be done for her soon as it's really wearing her out now.

Poor T-boo
Seems the tablets lady_bastet got aren't really working. She's had to go home early from work.
Feel kinda useless as there's little I can do to resolve her problem. Just gotta make sure she's as comfortable as possible.

News, What News?
Very little to tell really, lads & lassies. Just burning out the last few days in the ESB. Pretty quiet in here so I'm just clearing up.
I've been checking the Irish job sites on a daily basis but the majority of the jobs are out of my league, such as senior, team leader or manager & require 2/3 years management experience which I don't have.
A large portion of the jobs also require a second language which I don't have.
Finally, all the DB work is in Oracle or SQL Server. Studying the SQL Server now but have no experience with it.
I'm not paniced though, just gonna keep sending out CVs & see how things progress.

Is he a troll, a Klingon, I dunno?
Thoroughly enjoyed Bill Bailey on Saturday. Saw a good bit of the material before but it's fantastic to catch it live. I was surprised how conversational he is with the audience. At one point, a good 5 minutes was spent trying to put across that the stick in hurley is called a hurl. Bill decided to all it Steve! Gonna re-watch all my Black Books again.
"I'm an alien prostitute from Mars!"
Dominion was the usual affair. tabilities, Arthur & mister_endon were on. John went for his favourite guitar trad set, Arthur started on 80s then moved to dance & Conor continued with the dance.
Got a few photos of course. Working on them now.

Big Balls!
Just in case anyone who was at the Tassel Club show was wondering about the Big Balls song by the male stripper, it's by AC/DC & here's the rather amusing lyrics,
I'm ever upper class high society
God's gift to ballroom notoriety
I always fill my ballroom
The event is never small
The social pages say i've got
The biggest balls of all
CHORUS:
I've got big balls
I've got big balls
And they're such big balls
Dirty big balls
And he's got big balls
And she's got big balls
But we've got the biggest balls of them all
And my balls are always bouncing
My ballroom always full
And everybody cums and cums again
If your name is on the guest list
No one can take you higher
Everybody says i've got
Great balls of fire
CHORUS
Some balls are held for charity
And some for fancy dress
But when they're held for pleasure
They're the balls that I like best
My balls are always bouncing
To the left and to the right
It's my belief that my big balls
Should be held every night
CHORUS
I'm ever upper class high society
God's gift to ballroom notoriety
I always fill my ballroom
The event is never small
The social pages say i've got
The biggest balls of all
CHORUS:

Grumble
With only a week & a half to go before I finish, I was hopeing this ESB strike would fall through but it didn't. Quite a few feelings of discention in here at the moment. Strikes always make it awkward even if some parties aren't involved.
Took yesterday off but I had my boss onto me 3 times. Don't know what they're gonna do when I leave if he's fretting about a day. Still their loss.
I feel a bit like Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon, only a short time to go before retirement then shit happens.

Tassel Club
Thoroughly enjoyed the Tassel Club on Friday. Glad to hear it'll go monthly. Don't mean to sound pervy but it is very entertaining with comedy, song & of course the beautiful ladies.
Was joined by lady_bastet, ickle_tayto, paddywisha, nephster13, tabilities, Maggie, Orla, Arthur & Catherine. All the ladies looked fantastic & received numerous compliments throughout the night from other audience members. Well done girls.
EDIT:
Felt my review needed a bit more detail...
First up when we got in, Herb Dade was building up the mood with a little jazz. Was surprised when I saw the site a few weeks back to see he's the chap that works in Yamamori. Small world again! He has the familiar jazz jangly voice, decked out in suit & bowler hat with a cool rustic cane.
Next up we had a faithful Cabaret performance of Mien Herr. Neglected to take any photos as I was still unsure of the policy. It was a great performance despite a slight audio hiccup. Hats off to lady for continuing on unabated. Great start to the show to get the tempo going.
The stunning Ms. lucifire took to the stage then to compare for the night but also to give us a little of her vocal elicitation. Things were kept straight burlesque for the night, no stabbing, poking, swallowing or suspending for the night. Gotta keep with a mood I suppose.
Camp male comedy from Dusty Limits followed up with some double entendres & sorrowful pining to song.
lucifire returned again for another song & a striptease complete with stocking slicing via cutthroat razor. Very efficient method of getting them off.
Next up was Betty Broadway to give us some old time choons.
A performance for the ladies next by a rather entertaining chap singing "He has big balls, she has big balls but I've got the biggest balls of them all" LOL, was a good routine though.
There was an intermission somewhere here. Chance to mingle, grab drinks & snap a few photos.
lucifire returned again to introduce the first of the burlesque ladies of the night, Fancy Chance. Humorously, she came on all nerdy & nervous in a wedding dress & threatened to kill herself as her husband to be jilted her. But of course, blink of an eye off came the dress to reveal a gorgeous petite Asian lass. Check out the photos to see her fantastic feather cloak.
Bit hazy at this point. Wasn't drinking but think I'm muddling things up a little. lucifire came on again to introduce the final lady, Gwendoline Lamour. Gwendoline also played up the innocent charm decked out in lace with her frilly parasol. She did 2 routines which were excellent of course.
The night was rounded off with a rousing bit of jazz from Herb Dade, calling all the performers back onto the stage.

Fortnight Cleanup
With only another 2 weeks to go before I finish in the ESB, I'm doing a bit of mailbox cleanup. I'm a very organised person when it comes to email (as well as most other things). As a result cleaning up isn't too difficult.
We use Outlook in work so I've just created a Personal Folder file which I put on my USB flash drive. I have it mapped into Outlook, where I've copied over all my personal sent & received emails. Any filtering rules have also been redirected to this Personal Folder.
I only keep a backlog of 90 days so it's about 3000 messages. Also copied across all Contacts & Calendar entries so all as clear server side apart from a few work sent emails.
Mmmmm, clean as a whistle!

Burlesquery Coincidencery
A few weeks back I made one of those "It's a small world" revelations. What with all this burlesque talk, I did some research on the net for troupes in Dublin & as mentioned there's the Tassel Club, Ruby Lounge & Rouge.
By an odd coincidence, one of Rouge's performers is a feisty lass called Fluffy Dutton. The surprise was that she has a regular column on an ex-coworkers site, this is where I encountered Rouge.
Her column can be found here where she explores the "ins & outs" of life.

Hellraiser
As people may or may not know I'm a big fan of the Hellraiser series of movies by Clive Barker. I got them on VHS a few years back then repurchased them on DVD (1 to 3 + bonus disc box set & separate Bloodlines & Inferno). Firstly, the VHS versions are up for grabs if anyone wants them. It's Hellraiser, Hellbound, Hell on Earth & Bloodlines to be precise.
Beyond that I've also collected all the excellent Tortured Souls 1 & 2 figures (2 series, 6 figures each) & the NECA movie figures (3 series, 6 figures each). Only downside is I've nowhere to display them as I've no room in my bedroom. They're not up for sale but just thought I'd mention them.
Finally, I was relieved to see a few months back that they were gathering the various Hellraiser comics into collected editions. There have been 3 collections so far & I'm so glad they did them as getting the originals individually would have been impossible.
So hurrah for gorey, flesh ripping, gut tearing, brain splattering, puzzle twisting Hellraiser. I love you Pinhead :P

Skype Over Mobile
Gizmodo have just reported on a USB dongle that you can pair via Bluetooth with your mobile to allow you to Skype through it. Clever idea, as you can still utilise you mobile's contacts & convience. As stated in the full article, it's essentially a replacement for the mic & speakers.

Weekend Shenanigans
Had yet another busy packed weekend. Looks like next week will be as hectic too.
On Friday evening, lady_bastet & I headed around to John T's to plan routes & stuff for Whitby. Spread out that map & did a quick run across it taking note of different towns we wanted to catch & so on. After that we watched some DVDs & I (alone) got drunk on a small of JD.
Went to Blackrock market on Saturday with lady_bastet & briefly with ickle_tayto. Chatted for a good bit with the nice lady who owns the silver jewellery & clothing stall opposite-right of the Cup & Coin. She's very nice & has some beautiful necklaces, earrings & rings, etc. I've bought about 4 of mine from her. Pluggitty-plug :P
Later on we went to Dominion. Sad times as it will be ferrousoxide's last one. She looked fantastic in her zippy PVC dress, as did ickle_tayto in her new Chinese dress. Oh & gothic_furby's new blue hair was too cool. Me want, dye hair, now! lady_bastet was resplendent her hand made glittery dress.
Got a chance to chat with gothic_furby about how she's getting on. Love you honey & glad to know we can be there for you, should you need us. Also got a second introduction to pir, again very nice bloke but tall, sooo tall & me small, sooo small.
Finally on Sunday, as a final touristy thing for ferrousoxide, we went to the Jameson Distillery. Was a very commercial sort of tour. You kind of got the feeling if they stopped making whiskey, Ireland would dramatically sink beneath the sea or something. Still, was a good laugh as ferrousoxide & pir did the expert taste testing, having to sample 5 different spirits.
In other news, still no job. Not freaked out but a little angry. Just keep trying.

Phone Interview
Just did a phone interview for a potential job. Was a bit surprised about it, thought it would just be a brief chat about some basics with the intention of leading on to a normal interview. But it was a full interview with 2 blokes.
Still did my best. Emphasised the importance of the databases in the department. Answered their questions regarding their requirements.
It is a bit of a stretch away but it's a job & a good one to crossover into SQL Server so fingers crossed.

Bit of a geeky quiz here to see how sharp people are with their l33t speak. I'll admit, I've cheated & used a translator but see if you can translate this phrase without one:

Finally got through nephster13's Region 1 DVDs. Was a bit worried for a while as the MPEGs were playing back strangely, hopping all over the place. Turned out it was Windows Media Player & the codec I was using. Just used WinDVD & they worked fine.
30.3GB in all. Now that's a spicy meatball. Will have to move on to encoding them next. At least I can give the DVDs back.

ickle_tayto, paddywisha & hizhnik were taking the reigns for the night. All went well with varied stuff from everyone. Must ask about giving the DJing a go again.
Busy uploading various photos atm.

Top 3 Bands
I'm normally crap at answering these questions (lady_bastet is always pitching them to me) but what are people's top 3 favourite bands. Mine are (in no particular order)
Siouxie And The Banshees
Apoptygma Berzerk
The Cure
(bit odd I know having APB between 2 trad bands but that's me)

IFI: Immediate Flatulence Initiation
Gutenabend, meine Freunde.
Popped into IFI again this evening & hooked up with a good few people. Poor lady_bastet couldn't make it, her tummy was at her again.
Food was tasty as usual & the usual yap was partaken in. Experimented with the assistance of gothicfurby, with the settings of my camera to stop forewarning people of forthcoming photos. Sneak attack!!! As a result, quite a few pics taken, albeit a lot of duplicates. Few from John Y's gig too.

Fool + Money = Soon Parted
Not much in the way of news. Going to John Y's audiovisual performance tonight. Knowing John, it'll probably be quite surreal with a bit of "I pity the fool" thrown in :P
Bought Matrix Online for €15 but I'm bringing it back. Stupid me never read up on it. Like many/all MMOGs, it requires a monthly subscription which I can't really afford to have coming out of my account (transitioning between jobs). No worries, will teach me to read up in the future. Even Amazon UK mentioned it, Duh!
Have my eye on a few potential gadgets now that we have broadband including a good quality headset & webcam. Details at my Amazon UK wish list here

What Type Of Killer Am I?
Eeep, watch out. Mu huu ha ha!!!
You are a maniac killer.
It doesn't matter who they are and what they
have or haven't done. You still want to kill
them. And for a simple reason only; it's fun.
Seeing people in pain is like ecstasy. Maybe
you have some sort of mental problems or you
are this way because of previous deep scars,
only you know. But now you are sadistic and
maybe you only like to see a special group of
people be in pain (e.g. preps). However you are
not the most social person in the bunch and
people think you are weird. That bothers you
somewhat but atleast you can entertain yourself
with daydreaming about killing them. After all,
they have no idea what's coming.
Main weapon: Explosives and torture

Workie, Workie
Spent most of last night working on a work colleague's PC. Her husband bought an iPod in America but they only had Windows ME, which is apparently unsupported by the iPod/iTunes software.
So after backing up her documents, I did a full format & Windows reinstall, upgraded to SP2, installed a temporary network card to connect to our broadband, downloaded all post-SP2 updates, got AVG Free & MS AntiSpyware & updated them too. Finally restored her documents & ran some scans.
From there she has to installed Office & her iPod software.
Wasn't sure what to charge her but she's generously offered me €100.

Stuff & Nonsense
Should really post about what's being going on over the past few days & not just Invader Zim quotes :P
The weekend we were down in Wexford again. Not much went on but love feeding the chickens owned by Tasha's uncle. Have some photos (of course) of the little dirt scratchers. They're quite therapeutic to watch.
Went over to ickle_tayto's apartment yesterday to help her out with her new PC. It is indeed all shiny & a good spec. Nothing big work wise, just needed a crossover Ethernet cable to do a PC to PC transfer of her My Docs.
Otherwise, pretty quiet at home.
All our love to gothicfurby too.

Midweek Drinkathon 2005
Well not really a Drinkathon but fleblah. Met up with nephster13, ferrousoxide, gothicfurby, ickle_tayto, John Y, Seb & Maggie as well as ma cherie, lady_bastet for a few scoops & some grub.
Bit of a miserable day but being indoors, it didn't matter. Chatted about this & that. Mr. Younge snapping photos throughout.
gothicfurby bought some new makeup & looked very beautiful. What am I saying, all the ladies looked beautiful.
I have such pretty friends. Sorry don't fancy any of the lads as I don't swing that way, hee hee.
